We are pleased to announce that Dr. Daniel Farkas, PhD, Section Head, Molecular Pathology, Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Institute at the Cleveland Clinic since 2016, will be our guest speaker.  Cleveland Clinic Laboratories’ pathologists were among the first in the United States to routinely use molecular tests in the clinical setting – making their team among the most experienced in the country in clinical applications and interpretation of molecular testing.

Dr. Farkas also serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Pathology at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. Prior to joining the Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Farkas served as Chief Clinical Laboratory officer and Laboratory Director, Celmatix in New York, an established CLIA-certified, CAP-accredited, New York State Department of Health-permitted, molecular diagnostics laboratory devoted to the genetics of infertility. He has a long history in molecular diagnostics and pathology, and is is the author of several publications.

Dr. Farkas will review his experiences in molecular diagnostics testing over his 30-plus year career and describe the molecular diagnostics and pathology work at the Cleveland Clinic and the challenges.
