The Spring Senior Executives Meeting s one of our semi-annual meetings designed for member company C-suite executives, presidents and their senior executive teams. Each meeting focuses on emerging trends and business strategies and offers great insights and advice, along with many opportunities for dialogue with other senior executive attendees.
Past meetings have focused on the future of immunology, digital and the implications for health (assessing the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning in healthcare, blockchain technology and IoT), and how the ‘omics technologies are evolving (genomics, proteomics and metabolomics). We include a global economic and financial outlook to complement each topical program.
This Spring’s program will be virtual over four Thursdays in May and will discuss Pandemics and Infectious Diseases — a timely topic.

The Future of Vaccine Development

- Philip Dormitzer M.D., Ph.D., Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer: Viral Vaccines, Pfizer
- Dr. Penny Heaton, CEO of the Bill & Melinda Gates Medical Research Institute
Dr. Dormitzer will share his and Pfizer’s perspective on COVID vaccine development and rollout, and how ALDA members can continue to contribute to similar efforts moving forward. Dr. Heaton will focus on the work of the Gates Foundation MRI and will discuss their collaborative efforts on battling infectious disease including tuberculosis & malaria and how the pandemic reaction and accelerated vaccine development will impact these efforts moving forward.
