Steve Wozniak, “The Woz”

Co-founder of Apple Inc.

A Silicon Valley icon, technology entrepreneur and philanthropist for more than forty years, Steve Wozniak has helped shape the computing industry with his design of Apple’s first line of products the Apple I and II. He also influenced the popular Macintosh. In 1976, Wozniak and Steve Jobs founded Apple Computer Inc. with Wozniak’s Apple I personal computer. For his achievements at Apple, Wozniak was awarded the National Medal of Technology by President Ronald Reagan in 1985, the highest honor bestowed on America’s leading innovators. During the fireside chat-style session with ALDA Chair Patrick Kaltenbach, Woz will reflect on his career, the early days at Apple, lessons in leadership, the state of technology today, his perspective on AI, and more. It’s sure to be an enlightening, engaging conversation. We’ll open it up for Q&A, so be sure to bring your questions for the Woz!

Join your fellow attendees for a scenic reception on the Ocean Lawn for networking and wine and cheese tasting – and a little friendly competition. Those interested can form teams and partake in “The Sommelier Challenge.” The Sommelier will describe the three legs of the challenge and teams will visit stations to guess the wine’s varietal, age, or best food pairing. The Sommelier will guide you through how they approach each unique situation. Try three different challenges – Vertical Tasting, Varietal Blind Tasting, and Sensory. Winners get sommelier bragging rights and a team photo op!

When is the conference?

We begin Sunday, October 8 at 6 p.m. with a business-oriented speaker and dinner. The conference wraps up with our keynote speaker on Tuesday, October 10 around 9:30 a.m.

Who should attend?

Presidents, CEOs, COOs and senior executives from ALDA member companies. Spouses are also welcome to attend the Sunday and Monday dinners and the closing session on October 10.

  • First attendee from your company: $2,795
